.010 Introduction
A well-planned assimilation of information can reduce a new employee's anxiety and focus his/her motivation. The Employee Orientation Program accomplishes that by helping employees to acclimate themselves to the 1xbet sports betting , to understand how they fit into the larger picture, and to feel like valued members of the K-State family.
.020 Program Content
The Division of Personnel Services, Department of Administration, issues guidelines covering content and length requirements to ensure all orientation programs for the State of Kansas are comparable in quality and content.
The Employee Orientation Program is divided into three distinct parts:
- Part 1 - Kansas State Government
- Part 2 - Kansas State 1xbet sports betting
- Part 3 - The Work Unit
Parts 1 and 2 are presented sequentially in a standardized program by the Division of Human Capital Services. The following topics are covered:
- The State of Kansas organization and structure
- K-State's "corporate culture"
- Important policies and procedures
- Employee rights and corresponding responsibilities
- Benefits available to new employees
Part 3 is conducted at the work-site under the guidance of the immediate supervisor; it includes:
- Introductions and Interpersonal Relations
- General Information
- Work assignments
.030 Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibility for successful completion of the program rests with the Division of Human Capital Services and the employee's immediate supervisor.
Division of Human Capital Services: Parts 1 and 2
Representatives meet with new employees and present a standardized orientation program. See scheduled dates and times for employee orientation
The Division of Human Capital Services is also responsible for developing and implementing the orientation strategy and for maintaining records.
The Immediate Supervisor: Part 3
The employee's immediate supervisor provides the work unit orientation as outlined in the Orientation Checklist. (The department may add any additional topics that will contribute to the employee's assimilation.)
.040 Time Frame
Employee orientation (Parts 1-3) shall be completed within 30 days of the 1xbet sports betting support staff employee's appointment date. Unclassified employees should also complete employee orientation (Parts 1-2) within 30 days of their appointment.
.050 Enrollment
Departments can help by scheduling new employees for the Division of Human Capital Services Employee Orientation program as quickly as possible. Pre-registration is required.
.060 Attendance
All new 1xbet sports betting support staff employees and any 1xbet sports betting support staff employees rehired after a two-year or greater absence are required to complete Employee Orientation, Parts 1-3. All new unclassified employees are strongly encouraged to attend the Division of Human Capital Services orientation.
.070 Process
The department is to provide employees with both theNew Employee Orientation Forms Checklist and theOrientation Checklist as a guide in assuring completion of documents and processes.
If, during the Employee Orientation Program (Parts 1-2), an employee wants to enroll in a benefits program for which he/she is eligible, theDivision of Human Capital Services will complete the enrollment form (e.g. savings bonds, health insurance).
TheDivision of Human Capital Services will document completion of the Employee Orientation Program in the HRIS Training Administration database.
