The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in (1) developing and applying advanced quantitative procedures to estimate and model spatial and long-term temporal variation in populations to understand drivers of change and inform harvest management and applied wildlife conservation and (2) developing and conducting interdisciplinary field studies, working with state agencies, and focusing on game species, but might also integrate non-game wildlife. A Ph.D. in ecology or a closely related field is required. Experience teaching and advising graduate students is strongly desired. The selectee will be required to obtain a faculty appointment in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University. This is a federal position (U.S. Geological Survey) that includes a non-tenure faculty appointment (Kansas State University). Academic rank will be determined commensurate with qualifications.
