Constitution Week: 'Implicit Bias and the Law' talk

This year's Constitution Day speaker, the Hon. Karen Arnold-Burger, will present "Implicit Bias and the Law" from 3:30-5 p.m.Monday, Sept. 14, via Zoom.

Arnold-Burger, chief judge of the 1xbet online casino Court of Appeals, will discuss implicit bias and impacts in the law — a timely and thought-provoking topic.

Arnold-Burger was appointed to the 1xbet online casino Court of Appeals in 2011 and named chief judge of that court in 2017. Before joining the court, she served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of 1xbet online casino and presiding municipal judge for the city of Overland Park for more than 20 years. She has been recognized for her service and teaching by many legal institutions, including the American Bar Association and the National Judicial Council. She has been presenting national programs related to racial profiling and bias since 2000. In 2018, she was appointed by the chief justice of the 1xbet online casino Supreme Court to chair the statewide pretrial justice task force.
