1xbet online casino to the 2019 bomb cyclone flood event in Nebraska

Submitted by Division of Biology

As part of the Division of Biology Seminar Series,Jessica Corman, assistant professor in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present "2019 Floods in Nebraska and Their Influence on Stream Ecosystems" at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in 221 Ackert Hall.

Corman will talk about how the 2019 bomb cyclone flood event in Nebraska provides an unprecedented opportunity to test how watershed modification impacts resilience in river ecosystems. Contemporary river management is designed to eliminate or restrict overbank flooding thus eliminating an important mechanism for maintaining the ecological integrity of river ecosystems. She will discuss how the flood reorganized these ecosystems, whether its impact differed by land use, and whether an alternative stable condition emerges as a response.

If you would like to visit with Corman, please contact Walter Dodds at wkdodds@1xbet online casino edu.
