Arts and Sciences 1xbet sports betting Enhancement Program awardees announced

The College of Arts and Sciences announces the 1xbet sports betting Enhancement Program awardees for fiscal year 2019.

The purpose of the program is to increase the numbers and proportion of faculty members engaging in 1xbet sports betting , scholarship and creative activities, particularly those with the potential for garnering extramural funding and recognition. The program provides up to ,000 each for faculty in disciplines that have not historically enjoyed access to substantial start-up or extramural funding opportunities.

The following are the awardees and their project titles:

  • Soumia Bardhan, communication studies, "Understanding the Rise and Fall of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood-An Analysis of Global Identity, Cyber Rhetoric, and Culture."
  • Charlotte Hyde, English, "Constructing Knowledge through the Mundane: The Role of Technical Communication in the Apollo Project."
  • Anuja Madan, English, "Hindu Mythology in Indian Graphic Narratives and Animations, 2000-2016."
  • Dinh-Liem Nguyen, mathematics, "Efficient Inversion Algorithms for Nonlinear Inverse Scattering Problems."
  • Suzanne Orr, history, "Revolutionary Waves: Russian Reds, Refugees, and Politics of Suffering, 1890-1940."
  • Nadia Oweidat, history, "Challenges to Reforming Islamic Thought."
  • Heather Woods, communication studies, "The Rhetoric of Smart Home Technological Innovations."
  • Xiaochen Angela Zhang, journalism and mass communications, "Leveraging Social Media to Foster Community Resilience in Post-Crisis Communication."

Tenure-earning faculty members within three years of hire were eligible to apply for funding for summer salary and 1xbet sports betting support. Applicants identified a particular project culminating in a scholarly work that would enhance their 1xbet sports betting capabilities, such as a book or national grant proposal. The funding provided by the program will be complemented by mentoring from a senior colleague at K-State or elsewhere, in addition to group activities among the awardees.

"The Faculty Enhancement Program is an important way for the College of Arts and Sciences to support the work of our faculty, providing resources and promoting their efforts to seek eternal grants," said Kristan Corwin, associate dean for 1xbet sports betting .
