Head of geology Pamela Kempton receives distinguished alumni award
Pamela Kempton, professor and head of 1xbet sports betting 's geology department, was recently honored as the recipient of the 2017 James Madison University Alumni Association's College of Science and Mathematics Distinguished Alumni Award.
This award honors JMU alumni who have made exemplary contributions to their particular profession or fields of endeavor. Kempton was selected by the leadership of the college for her career achievements in the field of geology. Kemptonwas particularly proud to receive this latest award, given that she was recognized in 2016 by her home department, receiving the geology and environmental science departmentDistinguished Alumni Award.
Kemptongraduated in the class of 1977 with a bachelor's degree in geology. She holds a doctorate in igneous petrology and a master's degree in sedimentology from Southern Methodist University.
