Swanson's co-authored paper accepted for presentation at a Strategic Management Conference in Berlin
Diane Swanson's co-authored paper "Firm Profiles in Corporate Social Performance: Toward a Theory of Their Existence and Instrumentality"has been accepted for presentation at this year'sStrategic Management Society's annual conference inBerlinin September.
This paper develops the concept of corporate issue selection inconsistency, explores the conditions that affect it, and relates these concepts to corporate social responsibility in theory and practice. The mainpoint of this research is to explain why firmspay more attention to some issues pertaining to social responsibilitythan others.
