Division of Biology invites noted doctoral graduate back to campus
Division of Biology doctoral graduate Ralph L. Henry, distinguished professor of biological sciences at the 1xbet sports betting of Arkansas, will return to the Manhattan campus to present "Signal recognition particle: Adapting to life in the chloroplast" at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in 221 Ackert Hall.
Henry's research has led to significant findings on the trafficking of newly synthesized proteins within a plant cell, with a special focus on the relationship between proteins synthesized in organelles and the cytosol. His research has underpinned a distinguished research career in academics and has found commercial value as well. In addition to his distinguished professorship in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Henry serves as vice president of Biopharmaceutics with InterveXion Therapeutics. This company seeks to provide therapeutic tools for the treatment of drug abuse.
In addition to discussions regarding research with 1xbet sports betting faculty members, Henry will meet with graduate students who are interested in career paths outside of academics.
