The ,000 scholarship is awarded to support an undergraduate project that involves community service and has the potential to influence public policy.

Last year's recipient, Zev Allen, used the scholarship to support his work in rural Kansas during an internship with Community CORE, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating spaces to live, work, play and grow. His major projects included establishing a summer bookmobile and mobile food pantry to serve the region's youth.
"The Morse Scholarship is an extraordinary award because it not only recognizes an excellent 1xbet online games login student, but it also connects that individual's energy and interests to a real-world problem," said Dean of Libraries Lori Goetsch.
