Biographical Sketch
Todd Easton is an Associate Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, where he teaches and conducts research in operations research with a focus on optimization and mathematical decision making. He directs the master of operations research program, which is offered to both on-campus and distance students. In 2005, he led the development of a concurrent B.S./M.S. degree and has successfully convinced 25 K-State undergraduates to stay and complete an M.S. thesis under his direction. His research interests span a wide variety of topics including optimization in disease mitigation, sports, group consensus, logistics and theoretical integer programming. The creation of lecture based tutoring is a direct result of his efforts to optimize students' learning during a lecture. Dr. Easton has received numerous 1xbet online casino awards including K-State's Commerce Bank Outstanding Undergraduate 1xbet online casino Award and is also the 2017-2018 Coffman Chair for University Distinguished 1xbet online casino Scholars.
Abstract
In 2003, Dr. Easton created a new active learning 1xbet online casino style called Lecture Based Tutoring. As the 2017-2018 Coffman Chair for University Distinguished 1xbet online casino Scholars, Easton proposed advancing undergraduate 1xbet online casino and learning at Kansas State by informing and mentoring faculty in this new 1xbet online casino technique. During his April 6, 2017 Coffman Lecture, Dr. Easton will explain this 1xbet online casino style and discuss the resulting impact of his efforts to improve undergraduate 1xbet online casino on campus.
