Examples of service-learning opportunities: Work in medical clinics, teach nutrition lessons all ages, assist a local Maya physician, assist with community garden programs, assist with clean water programs, present cooking classes, conduct community health assessments, develop physical activity programs, assist with disease prevention programs, tutor in English/computers/business skills, assist with housing improvements, teach financial skills, research opportunities.
