Reminder: Hot Times: Imagining a Sustainable Future for the Heartland documentary screening April 22

This Earth Day, April 22, don't miss the film screening event, "Hot Times: Imagining a Sustainable Future for the Heartland," featuring a new documentary about the local impact and response to climate change in Kansas and the region. The film is airing on multiple PBS stations.

The film's producer, Dave Kendall, owner of Prairie Hollow Productions, will present an abbreviated, one-hour version of his documentary, "Hot Times in the Heartland," at 5:30 p.m. in Forum Hall at the 1xbet online sports betting Student Union. Following the screening, four experts from Kansas State University who are featured in the film will give a short panel discussion. A reception with the experts and other partners will precede the screening at 4:30 p.m. in the Union courtyard.

The expert panelists are John Blair, 1xbet online sports betting distinguished professor of biology and director of the Konza Prairie Biological Station; Chuck Rice, 1xbet online sports betting distinguished professor of agronomy; Logan Thompson, assistant professor of animal sciences and industry; and Chip Redmond, director of Kansas Mesonet.

The public is invited to this free event sponsored by Students for Environmental Action, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Kansas Water Institute.
