Organizational updates for Administration and Finance

Submitted by Ethan Erickson

Over the past year, several organizational changes have been implemented at the university level and within Administration and Finance areas to build more efficient and effective operations for our university.

The finance and operations teams were officially merged under the vice president for administration and finance, or VPAF, last fall, and the recent Kansas State 1xbet onli restructure shifted the reporting of Human Capital Services and the Division of Information Technology to VPAF. Additionally, a new Division of Risk and Safety will be established by shifting the reporting of the 1xbet online casino Police Department, Environmental Health and Safety, and Risk and Compliance to a chief risk and safety officer.

To ensure the internal VPAF organizational alignment is effectively positioned for future success, the following changes are occurring within Administration and Finance:

  • Shift the reporting of the payroll team from 1xbet online casino Capital Services to the Division of Financial Services, effective Sept. 30. The payroll team will report directly to Fran Willbrant, associate vice president for financial services.
  • Shift the reporting of the Administrative Support Center 1xbet online casino resources team to 1xbet online casino Capital Services effective immediately. The ASC-HR team will report to Shanna Legleiter, interim chief 1xbet online casino resources officer, until a 1xbet online casino resources manager is hired to oversee the team.
  • Realign the reporting of Parking Services from the vice president for administration and finance to the associate vice president for facilities, Casey Lauer, effective immediately.
  • Rebrand 1xbet online casino Capital Services to 1xbet online casino Resources, effective immediately, to align with best practices and reduce confusion amongst our internal and external customers. Signage, websites and materials will be updated in the coming months.

These changes are outlined in the organizational chart PDF.An internal transition team will work through the details of these shifts to ensure adequate staffing and structures are in place to support the implementation of these reorganizations. As part of their work, the transition team will conduct listening sessions with affected areas for input on how best to fulfill this restructure and position the individual units for success.
