KSIS holds displayed in 1xbet sports betting : Update on addressing known problem

Submitted by Office of Student Success

Students using the 1xbet sports betting mobile app receive push notifications about the service indicators in KSIS tied to their student record. These notifications for positive and negative service indicators appear as a hold message in 1xbet sports betting .

1xbet sports betting displays a hold description and name that is housed in KSIS and we add a resolution pathway. End users have reported that this information sometimes is incorrect or too blunt. For example, the advising hold placed in September on all undergraduate students tells students they must see an advisor. Although true, the intended message is that students need to meet with an academic advisor prior to enrolling in spring 2023 courses. We are working on a solution that will post a more nuanced description: Student is required to meet with assigned academic advisor prior to enrolling in courses for a new term.

Our IT colleagues have developed a coding solution to allow 1xbet sports betting leadership to revise the displayed messages. We are working as fast as we can, but given the volume of IT projects, we do not know when this solution will be in place. In the meantime, we recommend academic advisors communicate with their advisees about the meaning of the advising hold. We are creating a recommended message that we will share with academic advising leaders in each college/campus, via the Advisor Forum Listserv and on the 1xbet sports bettin.

We are grateful to the 1xbet sports betting advisors who brought this challenge to our attention. Please write to 1xbet sports betting @k-state.edu if you have any questions or concerns about the 1xbet sports betting platform.
