CEZID hosts Richard Webby for presentation on animal 1xbet sports betting viruses
The COBRE Center on Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, or CEZID, is hosting Richard Webby, in the next presentation in the CEZID Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series at1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in the Mara Conference on the fourth floor of Trotter Hall and Mosier Hall. The seminar will also be available via Zoom.
Webby's presentation for the seminar is titled "Assessing the risk of animal 1xbet sports betting viruses to human health."
Webby is a native of New Zealand, where he received his doctorate in virology from the 1xbet sports betting of Otago. He moved to St. Jude in 1999 to work under Rob Webster, a leader in the field of influenza viruses. He has remained at St. Jude and is currently a full member in the Department of Infectious Diseases where he leads a research program focused on understanding how viruses, particularly influenza viruses, jump between host species and how we can improve our pandemic preparedness and response.
Webby has published more than 450 scientific manuscripts in this area and leads the NIH-funded St. Jude Center of Excellence in 1xbet sports betting Research and Response and the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Studies on the Ecology of 1xbet sports betting .
The CEZID seminar series is organized within the diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department in the College of Veterinary Medicine and is hosted by CEZID Director Juergen Richt.
