Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with tickets available at k-state.edu/mtd/theatre/.

This production, sung in English, is set in America during the 1950s, taking place at Adina's Diner and park area. Adina works at the diner with her good friend Giannetta. The car mechanic Nemorino is hopelessly in love with Adina. Adina reads the story of Tristan and Isolde about a magical love potion causing Nemorino to wish that he had such an elixir to capture her affections. As fate would have it, a passing stranger, Sergeant Belcore, comes to town and immediately wins the heart of Adina. A traveling quack doctor, Dr. Dulcamara, also arrives in town and sells Nemorino a fake love elixir that is only a cheap Bordeaux. After many twists, Adina realizes that she is in love with Nemorino. The townspeople celebrate while Dulcamara leaves town believing his love potion possesses special powers.
