Geology graduate student receives E-an-Zen Grant for 1xbet online games login in the Geosciences
Sarah Lamm, graduate student in thegeology department, and faculty collaborator Pamela Kempton, have been awarded an E-an Zen Grant for 1xbet online games login in the Geosciences to host an 1xbet online games login event at the Colby Event Center in rural northwestern Kansas.
Motivation for the project stems 1xbet online games login recognition that rural students are less likely to attend four-year colleges and less likely to major in a STEM degree than their urban counterparts, in part because rural and underrepresented communities have access to fewer resources that expose them to the sciences and related careers.
The 1xbet online games login event, planned for summer 2022, has been designed for middle and high school students and will include a range of activities aimed at increasing knowledge of geology, planetary sciences and other STEM-related fields. Lamm was recognized for her efforts in public 1xbet online games login in 2020, receiving a Science Communication Award from the Kansas Science Communication Initiative.
The E-an Zen funding is run by the Geological Society of America and awards only two grants nationally each year.
