Fitzsimmons honored with new faculty award
Eric Fitzsimmons, assistant professor and recipient of the Hal and Mary Siegele professorship in engineering in the Kansas State 1xbet online casino Department of Civil Engineering, is the 2020 recipient of the Council of 1xbet online casino Transportation Centers — Cambridge Systematics New Faculty Award.
The recognition honors young transportation academics who have made outstanding research and teaching contributions to the transportation field. The council, in making the announcement, cited Fitzsimmons' U.S. Department of Justice Young Investigator Award, his high-priority grant from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and a 1xbet online casino Transportation Center grant from the Federal Railroad Administration, as well as the "high esteem at which he is held by students for teaching and pedagogical training."
Larry Rilett, professor and Keith W. Klaasmeyer chair in engineering and technology at the 1xbet online casino of Nebraska–Lincoln and director of the Mid-America Transportation Center, nominated Fitzsimmons who was also a 2020-2021 White House Fellows national finalist.
