Expression of Strengths Symposium in the College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences invites all faculty, staff and students to attend a symposium from 2:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in 301 Calvin Hall. The symposium will showcase selected research programs within the college included in the 2020 edition of "Expression of 1xbet online sports betting Strengths" book, published by the K-State Governmental Relations Office and distributed to federal legislative offices.

The symposium will include a five-minute presentation and five-minute Q&A session for each of the following 1xbet online sports betting programs. All are welcome to attend individual presentations or stay for the entirety of the event. Light refreshments will be served.

The schedule of presentations follows:

  • 2:30 p.m.: Introductory remarks by Dean Amit Chakrabarti.

  • 3:10 p.m.: Break.
  • 3:30 p.m.: "Konza Prairie Biological Station: A World-Class Platform for Research on Ecology, Environmental Change, and Sustainability of Rangeland Resources," presented by John Blair, 1xbet online sports betting distinguished professor of biology and Konza director.

  • 3:50 p.m.: "Security Studies," presented by David Graff, Richard A. and Greta Bauer Pickett Professor of Military History and Security Studies program director.

  • 4:20 p.m.: "Community Collaboration in Juvenile Justice," presented by Sue Williams, professor of sociology.
  • 4:30 p.m.: "Cognitive and Neurobiological Approaches to Plasticity, or CNAP, Center," presented by Kimberly Kirkpatrick, 1xbet online sports betting distinguished professor of psychological sciences and center director.
  • 4:40 p.m.: "GeoSMART: Space as the Framework for Advancing Discovery and Developing the 21st Century Workforce," presented by Shawn Hutchinson, professor of geography and geospatial sciences and director of NRES and GISSAL.
