The Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineeringand the Division of Biology will host Denise Monack, professor in the department of microbiology and immunology at Stanford 1xbet online games login , as an ADVANCE Distinguished Lecturer.
Monackwill present "Salmonella-microbiome Interactions in the Gut and their Impact on Transmission,"at 3:30 p.m.Monday, Nov. 4, in 221 Ackert Hall.
Monack'slab works on defining mechanisms of intracellular bacterial pathogenesis with an emphasis on chronic infection. She is a Burroughs Wellcome Fund scholar in infectious diseases and a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology.
