Craig B. Parker lectures in Brussels on music by Reena Esmail
Craig B. Parker,associate professor in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, presented his paper, "Diverse Musical Traditions in Recent Compositions by Reena Esmail," at the College Music Society International ConferenceJuly 12 in Brussels, Belgium.
His paper focused on Esmail's oratorio for choir, Baroque orchestra, sitar and tabla, "This Love Between Us: Prayers for Unity," and her "Khirkiyaan (Windows): Three Transformations for Brass Quintet.
