Crowell "supports the educational mission of the department, handles faculty and student submissions of purchase orders and travel requests to the Shared Service Center, interfaces with facilities and IT, and pitches in to prepare offices and labs for future occupation." Melinda Bainter, office specialist II in the biochemistry and molecular biophysics department, is recognized for her professional attitude, commitment, competence and performance. The department experienced the departure of two administrative support staff in 2018 and a quick transition to the 1xbet online sports betting Shared Service Center. As her nominee states, Bainter "met that unexpected challenge with enthusiasm, understanding and patience."
