Audrey Joslin, assistant professor of geography, will give a public lecture at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in 328 Waters Hall.
Joslin will discuss how a market-based conservation arrangement to protect water 1xbet online sports betting and biodiversity has influenced rural land uses in the Ecuadorian Andes. While this model is widely used as an example of success to justify its replication throughout Latin America, she explains how interpretations of conservation success for this kind of approach can vary greatly.
