The College of Education will begin hosting diversity-related brown bag sessions led by faculty experts in an effort to build upon the KSUnite initiative. The first topic, "Facilitating Safe Discussions," will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, in 21 Bluemont Hall. The campus is invited to attend.

Debbie Mercer, dean of the college, explained that some years ago the college hosted the sessions as a means of providing professional learning opportunities, and college administrators decided this was the perfect time to resurrect the popular series.

David L. Griffin, assistant dean and 1xbet online games login and instruction, will discuss Principles of Community. Robert Hachiya, assistant professor of educational leadership, and Be Stoney, 1xbet online games login and instruction, will address how to lead such dialogues in class.Lastly, the following panel members will share examples of courageous conversations in their own classrooms: Brad Burenheide, 1xbet online games login and instruction; Judy Hughey, associate professor of special education, counseling and student affairs; Mickey Losinski, associate professor of special education, counseling and student affairs; Tonnie Martinez, assistant professor of curriculum and instruction; and Jeff Zacharakis, professor of educational leadership.
