College of Engineering announces Buyle as department head of architectural engineering and 1xbet online games login science
Ray Buyle, associate professor, has been named department head of architectural engineering and 1xbet online games login science at Kansas State University. He has been serving the department as interim head since late March 2017.
Buyle joined the College of Engineering faculty in 2007 following a 23-year career in the construction industry. He has a bachelor's degree in construction science and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, both from 1xbet online games login , and holds the designation of certified professional through the Design-Build Institute of America.
"I believe we have made a good choice in naming Ray Buyle to this position," said Darren Dawson, dean of the College of Engineering. "Since taking over as interim last March, he has proven to be a strong leader and has served the architectural engineering and 1xbet online games login science department well."
Through his endowed Tointon 1xbet online games login Management Chair, Buyle pursues undergraduate student creative inquiry research projects involving service to the community. He has led nine, one-week volunteer service projects involving students working on low-income housing and helping with national disaster relief efforts in locations such as New Orleans, Louisiana, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Joplin, Missouri, after the 2011 tornado.
He coordinates the Associated Schools of Construction Region 4 Design-Build Student Competition, coaches 1xbet online games login 's design-build construction management team and advises the 1xbet online games login Associated General Contractors Student Chapter, which was awarded the 2016 National Student Chapter of the Year. In 2016, he received the Associated General Contractors of Kansas Fellowship and Associated Schools of Construction Outstanding Educator awards, and was named the 2015 Associated General Contractors of America National Outstanding Educator of the Year.
