One of the featured speakers is Emily Smith, the Pittsburg journalism adviser who, along with the Pittsburg High School The Booster Redux newspaper staff, reported that the school's new principal inflated some accomplishments and invented others. The result changed the school board's mind and gave the young Kansas journalists national attention.
Smith, who will lead workshop attendees in media management instruction, will deliver her address at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 17, in 106 Kedzie Hall. The 1xbet online sports betting community is invited to attend.
