K-State 1xbet sports betting Education Week begins today
Institutions across the U.S. and around the world are hosting events Nov. 10-17 for 1xbet sports betting Education Week, an annual celebration recognizing 1xbet sports betting students, education abroad and internationalization.
K-State 1xbet sports betting Education Week events are presented by the Office of 1xbet sports betting Programs:
• Haroon K. Ullah, 1xbet sports betting scholar, diplomat and field researcher specializing in South Asia and the Middle East, will present "Building Resilient Communities and Countering Violent Extremism in 1xbet sports betting Relations," as part of the Provost's Distinguished Lecture Series from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 10, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union.
Haroon will present an overview of the complex issues in the Middle East and how they are affecting global populations. Haroon also will offer his perspective on the election impact from his global perspective. April Mason, provost and senior vice president,will welcome and introduce Haroon.
The lecture is presented in partnership with the Office of 1xbet sports betting Programs and the College of Architecture, Planning & Design.
• Armenia 1xbet sports betting Coffee Hour will be at 4 p.m.Friday, Nov. 11, at theInternational Student Center. Presented by K-State 1xbet sports betting students, InternationalCoffee Hour is an opportunity to learn about the Armenian culture, coffee and traditional food.
• 1xbet sports betting Coordinating Council presents its annual 1xbet sports betting Food Festival from 5:30-8:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Jardine's Frith Community Center. Eight different countries — India, Thailand, China, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Paraguay and South Africa — will be represented with delicious dishes for the food festival. • Vernon Larson Lecture panel will discuss "The Galapagos Islands Education Abroad Initiatives" from 11 a.m. to noonMonday, Nov. 14, in123 Leadership Studies Building.K-State students have participated in education abroad in record numbers in recent years. Biology and Creative Writing in the Galapagos Islands is a unique class that provides students with new opportunities for 1xbet sports betting discovery and exploration.
Panel includes Elizabeth Dodd, university distinguished professor of English; and Martha Caldas, teaching associate professor of biology. Joe Milostan, Office Of 1xbet sports betting Programs study abroad director, will serve as moderator.
• Join students, faculty and returned Peace Corps Volunteers for a Pecha Kucha-style storytelling event at noon Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Berney Family Welcome CenterTheatre.
Panelists include Elizabeth Bittiker, senior in speech therapy-clinical job shadowing in Botswana; Zain Iqbal, instructor, Hale Library user services and Peace Corps volunteer-Uzbekistan; Sara Boro, study abroad adviser and Peace Corps Volunteer-Guatemala; Erica Sponberg, graduate student in curriculum and instruction, Teaching English-Thailand; and Stewart Guderian, Peace Corps recruiter and volunteer-Cambodia. Rebekah Carnes, K-State Peace Corps representative, will moderate the panel.
• English language program pre-enrollment orientation will be from1:45-2:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the K-State Student Union'sLittle Theatre.
• The K-State 1xbet sports betting Educator Awards Ceremony will be from4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in Hale Library'sHemisphere Room.
