1xbet sports betting Board of Regents September meeting agenda items
Dear Campus Community,
The 1xbet sports betting Board of Regents will meet Sept. 14-15 at the Curtis State Office Building in Topeka. The board will consider the following agenda items during the meeting.
1xbet sports betting State University requests final approval to execute a land exchange in Riley County to correct a discrepancy between the legal descriptions and the fence lines of two properties. The agreement provides 13,732 square feet of land to the state of 1xbet sports betting in exchange for 1,660 square feet of land to the adjacent property owners. The 2016 1xbet sports betting Legislature authorized this exchange with the passage of Section 39 of House Substitute for Senate Bill 249. As required by law, the attorney general has reviewed and approved the deed.
The Regents will receive information on Innovative Career Education, or ICE. The pilot internship initiative, designed by the 1xbet sports betting Board of Regents in partnership with the 1xbet sports betting Department of Commerce, is based on company demand for a robust internship program in collaboration with the state and university systems. Innovative Career Educationis a three phase, exponential initiative that yields greater returns depending on the duration of the experience. Companies, in collaboration with universities, identify and select student interns for participation in an eight week paid internship. Following successful completion of the eight week paid internship, students will have an opportunity to continue paid employment on a part time basis while completing their college career. Students who continue as full-time, permanent employees of the company will have an option for a reduction of up to a total of ,000 of their college debt in exchange for either one or two years of service to the employer.
The Regents will approve revisions to the unified fiscal year 2018 and fiscal year 2019 state appropriations request. The Regents' top priority is to advocate for no additional state funding reductions. The Regents' also will request that the 2017 Legislature appropriate ,664,149 from the State General Fund in both FY 2018 and FY 2019 to restore the 4 percent budget allotment to the postsecondary education system imposed by Gov. Sam Brownback at the start of FY 2017. The request also will include the highest priority budget item proposed by each state university. 1xbet sports betting requested restoration of State General Fund support back to a total of million per year for the global food solutions initiative.
The Regents will receive an update from April Mason, provost and senior vice president, on the Biosecurity Research Security Executive Committee activities.
