Free class Saturday: Small animal-handling Skills for Disaster Responders
Susan Nelson, associate professor of clinical sciences, will give a class on Small Animal-handling Skills for Disaster Responders, 3:45-5 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 28, in the lecture hall at the Manhattan Fire Station,200 Denison Ave. – on the corner of Kimball and Denison avenues.Co-presenter is Stephanie McCall, Riley County Animal Response Team coordinator.
"We believe preparedness is the key to mitigating the devastation that occurs when disasters happen. Becoming a credentialed volunteer is an important step for those who wish to participate in disaster response," Nelson said.
