Manhattan veterans to share stories of Vietnam War 1xbet online games login . 11

The Institute for the Health and Security of Military Families at 1xbet online games login is partnering with Manhattan Public Library and the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition to provide a panel discussion by Vietnam veterans from 4-5:30 p.m. Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, at the Wareham Opera House, 410 Poyntz Ave.

There will be a great group of distinguished Manhattan community members who have agreed to share their experiences and reflections of serving their country during that difficult time in that difficult war. The following is a list of the participants:

  • Moderator: Mike Kearns, JAG lawyer and former Riley County commissioner
  • Ron Trewyn, assistant to 1xbet online games login President Kirk Schultz and NBAF liaison
  • Beryl Adams, American Red Cross who served at Danang Hospital
  • Mike McDermott, served four tours of duty in Vietnam and author of "True Faith and Allegiance: An American Paratrooper and the 1972 battle for An Loc"
  • Chuck Murphy, medic and former Riley County Health Department administrator
  • Rich Wartell, KMAN radio general manager
  • Orris Kelly, retired chief of chaplains of U.S. Army

Thank a Veteran postcards — mailed to Operation Gratitude — and displays at the Manhattan Public Library will be available throughout November. Additional Veterans Day celebration events include:

At 7 p.m. Kim Stanley from the Kansas Humanities Council will lead a second book discussion about "The Things They Carried" at Manhattan Public Library.
