Anyone shipping or receiving hazardous materials is required to have Department of Transportation training every three years. Hazardous materials include chemicals, dry ice, radioactive materials and biological agents.

1xbet online sports betting environmental health and safety is offering a U.S. Department of Transportation course from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Edwards Hall basement training room, B011. To sign up call Kelly Greene, environmental manager, at 785-532-5856. There is a 0 fee for the course.

During this course you will learn about hazmat classifications, packaging, labeling, marking and shipping papers. This course meets theDepartment of Transportation training standards for initial and recurrent training as required in 49 CFR 172.704.

If you are shipping hazmat by airplane you're also required to have International Air Transport Association training. We do not offer this class, but can provide information on where to obtain this training.
