Journalism and mass 1xbet sports betting students receive awards

Fifteen students from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass 1xbet sports betting received awards for works entered in the South Central Broadcast Society's annual competition.

Each entry was required to be broadcast over the air. Entries from 1xbet sports betting students aired on KSDB-FM 91.9, KKSU-LP TV Channel 21, or Channel 8 on Cox Cable. The awards competition is a regional competition including student work from universities in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The awards were presented during the society's annual conference Sept. 26-27 at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Each student involved in the production of winning entries received a certificate. Names of grand prize winners also will be featured on a trophy displayed in the journalism and mass 1xbet sports betting offices.

The 1xbet sports betting winners include:

  • Honorable mention in sports package, video category — Gardner Jordan, Sarah LaFerre, Sean Frye and Clay Pitzenberger for "Patrick Sweeney-Mileage."
  • Honorable mention in talent, audio category — Caleb Jones for "Caleb Jones DJ Personality Aircheck."
  • Finalist in talent, audio category — Alex Achten and Bill Gurney.
  • Finalist in news program, audiocategory — Jason Beets for "China's One Child Policy."
  • Finalist in short film — Brian Broeckelman for "Cold."
  • Grand prize in radio sports program — John Forsee and Tanner Barth for "Tanner Barth, John Forsee Sports Play by Play."
  • Grand prize in documentary video — Brian Broeckelman, Danny Neely, J. Ryan Roberts and Jared Clark for "The Show Goes On."
