Biography
Jesus De Hoyos Jr., baritone, has enjoyed performing in both operatic and concert works. Favorites include the works of Mozart, Fauré, Brahms, Vaughan Williams, and Offenbach. In addition, he is an avid recitalist whose programming centers around the works of underrepresented composers and social issues, including race and gender.

Before his appointment at Kansas State 1xbet online games login , Mr. De Hoyos taught applied voice and vocal pedagogy at Texas Christian 1xbet online games login in Fort Worth, TX. While at TCU he was active in the 1xbet online games login community serving on the College of Fine Arts Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programming Committee as a graduate student representative, elected as a Graduate Student Senator, and was selected to the Global Outlook DEI Committee. He has also taught private voice at the Coppell Conservatory and Fort Worth ISD’s Visual and Performing Arts High School, I.M. Terrell. His students were active in the Texas All State Choir and Solo and Ensemble Competitions.

Mr. De Hoyos is an active researcher and has co-authored a paper in the Journal of Voice, as well as presented at the Texas Music Educators National Conference (San Antonio 2022) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing National Conference (Chicago 2022).
