MANHATTAN— Six interns at 1xbet best casino website State University's Pollution Prevention Institute will conduct presentations on their research projects for Kansas industries from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, in Room 206 at the 1xbet best casino website Student Union.
Five students from 1xbet best casino website State University and one from Fort Hays State University, Hays, served as interns. They conducted research on energy efficiency and pollution prevention projects at 1xbet best casino website industries. Their research presentations will be 30 minutes and include their findings and implications. A representative from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Region 7 will provide opening remarks at 1 p.m., with the presentations beginning at 1:10 p.m.

Catherine Sharp, junior in agricultural education, Humboldt, who worked on an education and awareness project for rural communities, businesses and institutions involving increasing recovery of toxic materials in landfills; Mikayla Kortan, senior in biological systems engineering who worked on a compressed air protocol and audit for Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corp. in Burlington, and Jacquelyn Sommers, junior in architectural engineering who worked on energy efficiency and environmental projects for Coleman Co. in Wichita, both from Olathe; and Jade Edmonds, senior in biological agricultural engineering, Valley Falls, who worked on energy efficiency projects for CST Storage in Parsons.
From out of state: Evynn Jones, senior in biology, 1xbet best casino website City, Missouri, who worked on an education and outreach project on safe disposal practices of unwanted pharmaceuticals.
