Kansas State University students selected to promote libraries, educate peers

MANHATTAN — Thousands of students spend time studying in Kansas State University Libraries, and about 60 students find part-time work there every year. But a select group is going above and beyond to promote 1xbet online games login Libraries as volunteers.
Eleven students from a wide range of majors have been selected through a competitive process to join the ranks of the 1xbet online games login Libraries Student Ambassadors.
Ambassadors serve two-year terms as advocates and representatives for 1xbet online games login Libraries at social, cultural and recruitment activities. They also provide valuable feedback on 1xbet online games login Libraries' initiatives and services, as well as advocate for the perspectives of the larger university student body.
The ambassadors were chosen following an application period and finalist interviews. The interview committee included advisers Sara Kearns, undergraduate and community services department head; Darchelle Martin, public relations officer; and Jason Reed, faculty and graduate services librarian. They were joined by three of the group's current members.
"In the ambassadors' first two seasons, they worked at community and recruitment events and staffed the Friends of the 1xbet online games login Libraries gala," Martin said. "The group has really found its footing, and we're pleased that our 30 students come from diverse majors and phases of their academic careers, from first-year students through doctoral candidates."

Miranda Moore, freshman in communication studies, Pittsburg; Nicole Buehler, freshman in music performance, Rose Hill;Tiffany Bowers freshman in business administration-marketing, and Ryan Krajicek, junior in biology and gerontology, both from Salina; and Georgianne Gilchrist, sophomore in nutritional sciences, Valley Center.
From out of state:
Michael Moore, junior in psychology and communication science and disorders, Denver, Colorado; and Caitlyn Aguirre, senior in bakery science and management, Oak Forest, Illinois.
From out of country:
Elizabeth Gutierrez Pionce, master's student in agricultural economics, Ecuador; Siba Khojah, sophomore in political science and leadership studies, Jordan; and Yang "Jeanne" Liu, doctoral student in biological and agriculture engineering, and Jingyi Zhu, junior in finance, both from China.
