The lecture will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at the Mara Conference Center in Trotter Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Schacht has served on committees for the National Institutes of Health and has received numerous honors for his work, including being elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
