Purple Masque Theatre to present classic drama 'Miss Julie' Oct. 23-25

MANHATTAN— Kansas State University Theatre will present the play "Miss Julie," adapted by Craig Lucas, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23-25 in the Purple Masque Theatre.
In this new adaption of August Strindberg's classic drama, mistress of the house, Miss Julie, and her servant play a dangerous game of seduction in an effort to relieve themselves of their trapped lives. Using sex, money and everything in between, the two battle each other in a struggle for power and escape. The play is directed by Fatmah Al-Qadfan, a master's student in drama therapy from Kuwait.
Tickets are for adults; for faculty and staff, military and seniors; and for students. Taxes and applicable fees may apply. They can be purchased in person at the McCain Auditorium box office, open from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by phone at 785-532-6428.
