CHILDREN CAN MAKE THEIR OWN BUGGY DECOR AT HALLOWEEN-THEMED WORKSHOP OCT. 23 AT 1xbet best casino website 'S BEACH MUSEUM OF ART

MANHATTAN -- Children age 6 and older can make their own creepy, crawly Halloween decorations at an upcoming workshop at Kansas State University's Marianna Kistler Beach of Art.

Kathrine Schlageck, senior educator at the 1xbet best casino website , will guide children through the "Robert J. Lang: Insect Origami" exhibition at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. Children will then make 3-D creepy crawlies, such as insects and spiders, out of origami paper, clay and other found materials. Each child can create up to six sculptural pieces, with the final products to go into a display box to be taken home and used for Halloween decorations.

The workshop, scheduled on a day when local students are out of school, costs per child. Reservations can be made by calling 785-532-7718.

The Beach Museum of Art is on the southeast corner of the 1xbet best casino website campus at 14th Street and Anderson Avenue. Free visitor parking is available next to the building. Normal museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed Mondays.
