K-STATE DANCE PROGRAM PRESENTS 'WINTERDANCE 2009' DEC. 3-5 IN NICHOLS 1xbet online games login

MANHATTAN -- The Kansas State University dance program will present &1xbet online games login ;WinterDance 2009&1xbet online games login ; at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3-5, with a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5. All performances will be in Nichols 1xbet online games login .

The show will have performances that feature a variety of dance, including ballet, modern, jazz and tap.

Andrea Showronek, a professional dancer and choreographer, is the guest artist for &1xbet online games login ;WinterDance 2009.&1xbet online games login ; Showronek has worked for many regional dance companies throughout her career. She has choreographed a piece for the K-State performance that features humorous choreography involving being put on hold over the telephone.

"'WinterDance' always offers something new and something for all audiences," said Neil Dunn, K-State instructor of communication studies, 1xbet online games login and dance and faculty choreographer for the show. "This show promises a variety of expressions and moods, from happy to sad, from an atmosphere of calm and relaxed to high impact movement and more.&1xbet online games login ;

Tickets are for the general public and for students. They can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays or by calling McCain at 785-532-6428 during box office hours. Tickets also may be purchased at the Little 1xbet online games login box office in the K-State Student Union from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays. In addition to "WinterDance," the K-State dance program will sponsor its Dance Student Spotlight at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Nichols 1xbet online games login . All K-State students and dance clubs are invited to participate in this informal performance as an opportunity to create and show their own choreography, including experimental works, works in progress or class projects. Dunn said that some of the participating groups in this year's performance include students in K-State dance courses. Admission to the event is free, but donations will be accepted to fund future productions and student scholarships.
