K-STATE STUDENTS TO SERVE IN MANAGEMENT POSITIONS WITH KSDB-FM

MANHATTAN -- Several Kansas State University students have been selected for management positions with 1xbet sports betting radio station KSDB-FM.

Luke Wempe, a junior in broadcast journalism and public relations, Lawrence, was selected 1xbet sports betting director for the 2009-2010 school year. Wempe served as the station's news director this year, and he previously served on the station's sports staff. Wempe was on the staff of the Crusader student newspaper while a student at Seward County Community College in Liberal, and he worked part time at radio stations KLWN and KLZR when he attended Lawrence High School. Sam Dodge, a sophomore in business administration, Prairie Village, will serve his second consecutive school year as the station's sales manager. Dodge is a military veteran and served a tour of duty in Iraq before coming to K-State in fall 2008. Dodge supervises the sale of underwriting support for KSDB programming, and he coordinates the sales aspect of station promotions.

Kristin Russell, a graduating senior in English and mass communications, St. John, will become KSDB station manager this summer. Russell will enter K-State's master's 1xbet sports betting in journalism and mass communications in the fall.

KSDB-FM is entering its 60th year of continuous operation in the fall, and serves the Manhattan-Junction City-Fort Riley area with a schedule of alternative rock and urban music, news, sports, and talk programming.
