MANHATTAN — Five high school students from 1xbet online sports betting are recipients of 1xbet online sports betting State University's Edgerley-Franklin Urban Leadership Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding high 1xbet online sports betting seniors who have made contributions to the urban communities in which they live.
Recipients of the ,000 scholarship for the 2016-2017 1xbet online sports betting year are Carolina Bueno, a senior at Wyandotte High 1xbet online sports betting , and Lindsay Chassay, a senior from Sumner Academy of Arts and Sciences, both from 1xbet online sports betting City; Sahiba Grover, Lenexa, a senior at Olathe North High 1xbet online sports betting ; Nic Rodriguez, Olathe, a senior at Olathe Northwest High 1xbet online sports betting ; and Ryan Kelly, Overland Park, a senior at Blue Valley Northwest High 1xbet online sports betting .
The university received 147 applications for the scholarship, and a selection committee chose 11 finalists to interview. Finalists participated in an on-campus interview and recognition day March 7. Scholarships are renewable for up to three years with a 3.0 1xbet online sports betting State University GPA. All finalists also will participate in undergraduate research through the university's Developing Scholars Program.
Finalists for the scholarship included Marcellus Brown, 1xbet online sports betting City, a senior at Wyandotte High 1xbet online sports betting ; Brett Moon, Maize, a senior at Maize High 1xbet online sports betting ; and Elijah Darey, Wamego, a senior at Wamego High 1xbet online sports betting .
From out of state: Torie Richardson, 1xbet online sports betting City, Missouri, a senior at St. Teresa's Academy; Hugo Hidalgo-Lopez, St. Joseph, Missouri, a senior at Benton High 1xbet online sports betting ; and Donyea Grayson, Grand Prairie, Texas, a senior at Mansfield Lake Ridge High 1xbet online sports betting .
This scholarship is made possible by the Edgerley and Franklin families who continuously demonstrate leadership and support of service to individuals from urban areas. It was created in memory of Bernard Franklin’s wife, Elsia, who was committed to helping better the lives of young girls in urban Alabama.
The Edgerleys have been longtime supporters of 1xbet online sports betting State University, contributing to a number of scholarships, funds and faculty chairs in the past 10 years, including the Paul B. and Sandra M. Edgerley Business Administration Scholarship, the Paul B. Edgerley Chair in Business Administration, the Robert M. Edgerley Chair in International Business; the Edgerley Family Chair in the College of Business Administration; and the President Wefald Leadership Chair in the College of Business Administration.
