Students to showcase research at annual campus forum

MANHATTAN -- Graduate and undergraduate students at Kansas State University will present their research to campus and the community at the 18th annual 1xbet best casino website.
The forum will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, on the second floor of the 1xbet best casino website Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.
The forum will include oral presentations and poster presentations from more than 101 graduate students and 18 undergraduate students from across disciplines. Research topics include engineering, math, physical sciences, agricultural sciences, biological sciences, social sciences, humanities and education, among other topics.
"Each year, the 1xbet best casino website Research Forum showcases the research, scholarly and creative activities occurring on our campus," said Carol Shanklin, dean of the Graduate School. "The forum gives our students the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting and to share their success with the community."
University faculty judges will select the top presenters in each session. An awards ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. in the Big 12 Room. The first-place presenters will receive a plaque recognizing their accomplishment that can be displayed in the students' home departments until the following year's event.
The university chapter of Sigma Xi, the scientific research association, will sponsor a first-place award for the graduate student research that best displays the integration of knowledge and expertise from diverse disciplines in an oral presentation. The award recipient will receive a 0 award and will be recognized at the annual Sigma Xi awards banquet on Monday, April 8.
This year, Dow AgroSciences will present scholarships to the winners of the agricultural sciences oral and poster sessions to recognize their research achievements. The company's Jeffrey Rosichan, senior new technology leader, will present the awards. Following the awards ceremony, there will be a networking session with participants who are interested in learning about career opportunities in the agricultural sciences industry.
The forum is sponsored by the Graduate School, the Graduate Student Council, and the offices of the president and provost.
