Folklore and more: April 1xbet sports betting events feature Irish storyteller, lectures and student presentations

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University's department of 1xbet sports betting will host a variety of lectures, graduate student presentations and even an Irish storyteller as part of its April activities.

The events, all free and open to the public, include:

* Irish storyteller Clare Murphy will present "Undreamed Shores: An evening of fabulous folktales filled with fools and wise men, tricksters and heroes from around the world" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 2, in the 1xbet sports betting Student Union Little Theatre. It's sponsored by the Union Program Council; the department of communication studies, theater and dance; the drama therapy program; the department of sociology, anthropology and social work; the School of Leadership Studies; and the department of English.

* A reading by John Price, professor of 1xbet sports betting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Flint Hills Room at the Union. Price is the author of the memoirs "Man Killed by Pheasant and Other Kinships" and "Not Just Any Land: A Personal and Literary Journey into the American Grasslands." He has received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and other recognitions for his writing about nature. Price is also currently a fellow at the Black Earth Institute. * The 21st annual Cultural Studies Symposium will be at 4 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the Big 12 Room at the Union.
