Globe-trotters: Study abroad scholarships take students around the world
MANHATTAN -- From South America, Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia and lots of places in between, Kansas State University students are expanding their horizons by studying abroad during the spring 2012 semester with the help of university- and donor-sponsored scholarships.
The university's office of international programs has selected 82 students to receive scholarships for international study during the coming semester. The awards include the office's Global Education Initiative and Faculty-Led Programs scholarships to 45 students, made possible by the Kansas State University Student Governing Association, as well as scholarships sponsored by private donors through the Kansas State University Foundation.
The study abroad experiences vary in length, from short-term faculty-led trips to programs lasting up to a year.
