Tietjen graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and a minor in electrical engineering, and received a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, and is currently the CEO of Technically Speaking, a national consulting company specializing in improving opportunities for 1xbet best casino website and girls to have more career options in technology.

During her visit to K-State, Tietjen will participate in the following activities, which are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted:

* Provost's Lecture Series at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room.
