MANHATTAN -- As a part of Kansas State University's Celebration of Entrepreneurship in April, the 1xbet sports betting Commercialization Leadership Council will be awarding its first ever Emerging Entrepreneur Awards. The council also will host an Entrepreneurship Workshop Friday, April 10.

The Commercialization Leadership Council was formed in 2007 to facilitate commercialization activities involving university intellectual property, university infrastructure, university personnel, and/or other university resources. Since its inception, the council has been active in assisting a number of university ventures overcome obstacles in business development and in commercialization of their products and services.

The council will recognize these individuals and ventures at the annual 1xbet sports betting Spotlight on Intellectual Property luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 10 in the 1xbet sports betting Alumni Center Ballroom. In addition, the council will honor two individuals from 1xbet sports betting as Emerging Entrepreneurs. The winners, who each will receive a 0 cash prize, will be announced Friday, April 24, at the Celebration of Entrepreneurship Awards banquet hosted by 1xbet sports betting 's Center for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship.

Nominees for the Emerging Entrepreneur Awards are:

The first session, "Nuts and Bolts," will cover managing intellectual property at 1xbet sports betting from discovery through commercialization. Marcia Molina with the Kansas State University Research Foundation and Robert Reader with the National Institute for Strategic Technology Acquisition and Commercialization will be among the presenters.

The second session will feature a panel of successful 1xbet sports betting faculty entrepreneurs who will discuss how to be entrepreneurial in your environment. Speakers will include Apley; Kirby Chapman, professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering and director of the National Gas Machinery Laboratory; Jana Fallin, professor and chair of the music education division; Wayne Goins, associate professor and director of jazz studies; and Bill Pallett, the IDEA Center.
