Architectural engineering student from Alma awarded scholarship
MANHATTAN —Chelsea Lewis, Alma, a bachelor's/master's degree student in architectural engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering at Kansas State University, has been awarded a ,000 scholarship from the Kansas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
The institute, a nonprofit organization, iscomprised of individuals associated with the concrete industry. The Kansas chapter offers this scholarship, one per school, annually for students pursuing education in fields pertaining to the concrete industry.
"Chelsea is a determined student who welcomes challenges and enjoys learning," said Kimberly Kramer, professor and GE Johnson construction science chair in the GE Johnson Department ofArchitectural Engineering and Construction Science, and Lewis' advisor. "She is an excellent representative of Kansas State University."
