University launching online data analytics master's degree

MANHATTAN —Set to launch for the upcoming fall semester, Kansas State University has developed an online master's degree in data analytics. The new degree is designed as an interdisciplinary approach to fill the rising demand for employees who possess the practical skills needed to mine, manage and interpret the meaning behind large data sets.
The 30 credit hours program was previously available only as a graduate certificate. It retains the two-track model that allows each student to customize the curriculum to suit individual needs, including a data science track and an applied analytics track. The data science track focuses on techniques, methods and algorithms, while the applied analytics track is more practical in applying methods toward business problems and communication with stakeholders.
"The business of data has been evolving for a long time now, and we're excited to have created an online program that can help fill the skills gap we've identified in this industry," said Chwen Sheu, associate dean for academic programs in the 1xbet online casino College of Business Administration and the Paul B.
