Barrett to present Anatomy and Physiology Seminar

The last Anatomy and Physiology Seminar for this semester will be Tuesday, May 3, by Kim E. Barrett, vice dean for research in the School of Medicine at the 1xbet online sports betting of California-Davis. She will present "Salmonella and gut epithelial homeostasis: possible mechanisms of diarrheal disease" at 4 p.m. in the Mara Conference Center, 407 Trotter Hall.

In her position at UC-Davis, Barrett leads initiatives to bolster both basic and clinical research activities. She is responsible for working with faculty, chairs and center directors to refine the school’s research strategy, oversight of medical school research facilities on the Sacramento and Davis campuses, and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations both across the school and by leveraging the unique strengths of the broader 1xbet online sports betting .

With support from the National Institutes of Health and private foundations, Barrett’s research interests have centered on the physiology and pathophysiology of the intestinal epithelium and their relevance to inflammatory bowel diseases and diarrheal diseases.
