Your goal is to persuade your portfolio reader that your portfolio represents your development as a persuasive writer.Your letter will count as your last paper grade for the course. I will grade it between Tuesday, May 7th and Thursday, May 9th. If you choose to use the letter as one of your portfolio papers, include this assignment sheet and your notes in your portfolio. Read over page 115 in Kanning. In class on Tuesday, April 30th, begin invention work for your letter using the handout AInvention for Letter to the Portfolio Reader.@2. Bring all of your papers to class on Thursday, May 2nd and complete your invention work. By the end of class, you will have a draft of your thesis and your outline.3. Revise your outline, so you have a clear organization of thesis claim, sub-claims, and evidence you will use. (Note: I encourage you to select all evidence in advance, for an easier writing experience in class.)4.
